Privacy Policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
This policy covers Sermon Shorts, an internal tool Gaston Community Church staff use to publish short clips of our own Sunday sermons to the church's YouTube channel, Facebook Page and Instagram account. It is not offered to the public, and no one outside our staff signs in to it.
What the tool accesses
When a staff member connects the church's YouTube channel, the tool asks
Google for permission to upload videos to that channel
(youtube.upload). When a staff member connects the church's
Facebook Page, the tool asks Meta for permission to publish videos to that
Page and to its linked Instagram account.
The tool uses these permissions only to upload sermon clips a staff member has reviewed and approved, together with each clip's title, description and cover image. It does not read, collect or store personal information about viewers, followers, subscribers or anyone else, and it does not access analytics, comments, messages or other content on these accounts.
What is stored, and where
The sign-in credentials Google and Meta issue are stored only on the church computer that runs the tool. A local record of which clips were posted, and their links, is kept alongside the clips. Nothing is stored on any server we operate, and nothing is sold, shared with or transferred to any third party.
Use of Google user data
Sermon Shorts' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The tool uses YouTube API Services; see the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Revoking access
Access can be removed at any time: for Google, from the account's third-party connections page; for Facebook and Instagram, from the Page's Business Integrations settings. Removing access deletes nothing that was already posted; it only stops the tool from posting.
Deleting your data
Sermon Shorts does not collect or store data about anyone who signs in with Facebook or Instagram, or about anyone who views our posts, so there is no personal data held by the tool to delete. To remove the tool's access to a Facebook Page or Instagram account, go to Facebook Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, select Sermon Shorts and choose Remove. To have us confirm this or delete anything else we hold, email mark@gastoncommunitychurch.org and we will respond within 30 days.
